Email Setup: Outlook 2000 |

Outlook 2000 provides you with a wizard to guide you through the setup process the first time you open the program. To set up Outlook 2000 using the wizard, follow these steps: Note: Your system must have Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.1 or later to install Outlook 2000. - Select Create a brand new email account. Click Next.
- Select Internet only. Click Next.
- Type your name as you wish others to see it when they receive email from you. Click Next.
- Type your email address, including the @ sign and domain name, such as

(where username is the login name assigned to you, and yourISP.com is the domain name of your Internet Service Provider). Click Next.
- Select POP3 as the server.
- Type your incoming server name: pop.yourISP.extension (where yourISP.com is the domain name of your Internet Service Provider). For example, your incoming server name might be pop.yourISP.com.
- Type your outgoing server name: smtp.yourISP.extension. For example, your outgoing server name might be smtp.yourISP.com.
- Click Next.
- Type your account (login) name. Your account name is typically the same as the first part of your email name, such as yname.
- Type a password. If you are not worried about others getting your email, then you may want to check "Remember password". Checking this box allows your password to automatically display when you are signing onto the server.
- Click Next.
- Select Connect using my phone line. Click Next.
- Finish setup. Start using Outlook 2000 for your sending and receiving email.
