Open the Microsoft Internet Explorer program. Click View, then click Options. Choose the Programs tab. Be sure that Internet Mail and Internet News are selected as in the picture below.

Click OK when you have completed this.

Next, click Mail, then click Read News. This will open the Internet News window. Click on News, and then click Options. Click the Server tab. Click on the current news server, and click Remove.

NOTE: If you have only one news server configured prior to this change, the computer will prompt you to let you know that you must have at least one news server configured. Click Yes.

Then click in the field labeled News Server Name. The news server name of news. should be entered here. The news server does not require you to log on, so do not check the box below the server name. Click OK.
