User Accounts can be set in Windows XP to allow various users to utilize a single workstation.  With separate user accounts, each user can customize their desktop and web favorites, protect their personal settings, password protect their My Documents folder to keep information private, and easily switch between users without closing programs.

To edit user accounts and profiles in Windows XP, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start.
  2. Click Control Panel.
