We all need to print at some point, whether it’s from an app, a website, or some other application installed on your computer.  Windows 8 makes printer installation as easy as plug-n-play as most printers that are connected are automatically recognized and ready to go within a matter of minutes.  Once you’ve connected your computer, you can verify if the printer is installed by completing these instructions:

  1. On the Start Screen, move your mouse pointer to the right of the screen and click the Search charm.
  2. In the search bar, enter “devices,” and all results for Devices should display.
  3. Click Devices and the printer that was connected should be available.
  4. If the printer is not available, you can use the Add a device feature to select your printer from the list of available manufacturers and follow the prompts to install.
