If you are running Windows XP, you can set up your dial-up connection by following the steps below.

1. Click Start.
2. Click Control Panel.
3. To continue setting up your dial-up connection in Windows XP, click “Switch to Classic View”.
4. Double-click “Network Connections”.
5. On the New Connection Wizard screen, select the “Connect to the Internet option”.
6. Click Next.
7. Select the “Set up my connection manually” option.
8. Click Next.
9. Select the “Connect using a dial-up modem” option.
10. Click Next.
11. In the ISP name box, type the second part of your email address, which is domainname.domaintype. For the email address tsimpson@24hoursupport.com, for example, 24hoursupport.com is the ISP name.
12. Click Next.
13. Type the number your computer is going to call to connect to the Internet. If an area code is required, or if a 1 is required for long distance, be sure to type it here. Remember, you are responsible for all long distance charges.
14. Click Next.
15. If you want to have a dial-up icon on your desktop, so you can double-click to display the connection window, check the box.
16. Click Finish.
17. If necessary, add your DNS numbers to the nework settings.
18. You are ready to connect to the Internet and use your email account.
